This revolutionary new fiction podcast demonstrates real-life tools & methods for healing from abusive relationships. In an idealized future, empathy is a super power and emotional abuse has been appropriately deemed a crime. Support is given to survivors of such crimes at The Haven, a beautiful retreat for survivors to learn and practice the tools they need to overcome the pain and trauma of such abuse.
WHAT'S THE PODCAST ABOUT? WHAT'S THE STORYLINE?
SHOULD I STILL LISTEN IF I HAVEN'T BEEN THROUGH ABUSE?
Yes. There is a lot of validation in hearing supportive mental health professionals demonstrate empathy. Because this abuse is insidiously deceptive, you'll learn about red flags to avoid so you won't get trapped in a toxic relationship. And you never know when someone you love or work with may need your support in overcoming this type of 'hidden' abuse.
Survivors of gaslighting often feel isolated or don't know that what they've been through was actually deeply abusive. This comforting, validating story was created to offer present-day methods for healing and breaking free. As characters learn about what they went through, listeners can easily follow along and get ideas for how to implement the methods themselves.
WHY FICTIONALIZE SOMETHING THAT MAY TRIGGER SURVIVORS?
why use sci-fi to talk about abuse?
The sci-fi part of the story helps listeners imagine a future where healing is possible. This is a way to help survivors begin to open possibilities for a future that brings them validation, comfort, and hope.
WHO'S IT FOR?
Anyone who loves the combination of a little sci-fi, a little psychology, a foundation of hope, and a whole lot of validation. Empaths especially will find a tribe of warm, empathetic characters who truly want to make the world a better place.

CHARACTER: DR. PERSEPHONE KOLASI
In this future world, Dr. Kolasi is a Co-Director for the Federal Reclamation Center, an innovative arm of the Reformed Justice System. Persy spent the majority of her early career counseling combat veterans, empaths, and former members of the intelligence community. While on that career track, she noticed a hole in the justice system and designed a reformation that could be implemented with post-war national support for more compassionate interaction. As a survivor of coercive control herself, Persy organized and led the Justice Reformation Campaign Committee to ensure survivors could always receive support while healing.

Lorem Ipsum. Well, I'll say this for him - he's sure of himself. We have a saboteur aboard. We know you're dealing in stolen ore. But I wanna talk about the assassination attempt on Lieutenant Worf. Your head is not an artifact! Earl Grey tea, watercress sandwiches... and Bularian canapés? Are you up for promotion? What? We're not at all alike! The Federation's gone; the Borg is everywhere! Mr. Worf, you sound like a man who's asking his friend if he can start dating his sister. Fate. It protects fools, little children, and ships named "Enterprise."
