ROSEMARY / KIM

CHARACTER: ROSEMARY THURMAN

Rose is a brand new survivor at the Haven, still in the Intake Phase of her recovery. She’s a be-everything mother to her 3 grown children and has a professional background in nursing. Rose is quirky, fun-loving, artistic, and sweet. Her backstory is unique in that her children reported their father, which resulted in his conviction as an Abuser and Coercive Control Perpetrator.

Kim is a lifelong actor, singer, and dancer. She has performed roles as the comic relief to the dramatic lead. She is married to the best attorney in the state (seriously, he won an award for it!) and they have three smart, sassy boys. Kim loves to spend her days brightening the lives of others and if Disneyland is involved, she’ll be THERE.

What do you hope people will get from listening? 
Kim's Answer:
Hope. Peace. A sense that they’re not alone in their heartbreak and struggles and a ready-made way to tap into invaluable resources and support. Listening to these stories and hearing what victims go through; I think people will be relieved to hear stories similar to their own and know that they aren’t alone in feeling what they do.
